Terms of Use
These terms describe the intended use and important limits of Floor Plan Studio. Mandatory consumer rights under applicable law are not excluded or restricted.
Purpose of the app
Floor Plan Studio provides tools for room capture, measured-plan inspection, CAD 3D viewing, optional detailed spatial capture, Photo Tours, local project organization and file export on supported Apple devices.
Measurements and professional decisions
LiDAR, RoomPlan, reconstructed geometry and derived measurements are estimates. The app is not certified or validated as a professional survey, architectural, engineering, construction, valuation, accessibility, safety, emergency-planning or regulatory-compliance instrument.
Users must verify critical dimensions with suitable calibrated tools and qualified professionals before construction, legal, safety-critical, purchasing or other consequential decisions. The app does not replace professional judgment.
Authority to capture
Users must have authority to enter and capture each space, obtain any required consent, follow workplace and local rules, and avoid recording people or sensitive materials. Extra care is required in homes, schools, workplaces, health facilities, security-sensitive locations and other private spaces.
Device and feature availability
Room Scan and Real 3D depend on Apple RoomPlan, LiDAR, camera, thermal state, storage and operating-system capabilities. Some features are unavailable on unsupported devices. Processing can consume substantial battery, storage, memory and compute resources and may heat the device.
Local files, exports and backups
Users are responsible for maintaining devices and backups and for managing exported, shared or copied files. Deleting an app item or the app can remove local content. A future app or operating-system version may not remain compatible with every earlier project; users should keep supported exports and complete .floorplanstudio packages where appropriate.
DXF, IFC, JSON, USDZ, PDF, PNG and other exports depend on available source evidence and supported subsets. Compatibility with a particular third-party product, workflow or downstream interpretation is not guaranteed.
Acceptable use
Users must not use the app unlawfully, infringe another person's rights, bypass platform security, misrepresent estimated results as certified evidence, or distribute content without the necessary rights and permissions.
App and third-party services
The app, documentation, visual identity and original software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Apple frameworks and optional Firebase services are provided under their respective terms. Availability of third-party platform services is outside the project operator's control.
No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise that results will be exact, complete, uninterrupted, compatible with every file or device, or suitable for a particular professional purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the project operator is not liable for decisions made without independent verification, loss of local or exported data, unauthorized capture, downstream file interpretation or indirect and consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
